About the event

Join us under the celestial dance of the moon for our Lunar Yoga Sessions with Amy. These gentle yoga classes will be outdoors by meditation garden and are designed for all levels, providing a space to align your practice with the cosmic rhythms of the new moon and the full moon. There is an optional stay for the fire following right after.

Why Sync with the Lunar Cycle? Yoga teaches us to be in harmony with nature, and the moon’s phases are a powerful guide for our energy levels and intentions. The gravitational pull of the moon influences the water within us, just as it does the tides of the ocean.

Full Moon Yoga: A Time for Release Conversely, the full moon is a time of culmination and release. It’s when we let go of what no longer serves us, making room for what’s to come

In addition to this, the powerful energy that the moon emanates when it is strongly reflecting the light of the sun towards the earth makes it a time for energetic activities.

The gentle yoga will take place indoors followed by the community fire pit outside.

This time of the month is a good time to reflect on what you have achieved since the last full moon and celebrate your accomplishments. It also has purifying qualities, so it can facilitate cleansing unwanted energies and releasing things that no longer serve you.

Amy is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Amy found yoga over 20 years ago when she began seeking a form of exercise that was not gym-based or competitive. She discovered her body’s abilities and resilience through intentional practice of self-compassion and mindful movement. Through the study and practice of yoga and yogic philosophy and her work as a psychotherapist she developed the belief that yoga is a pathway to personal transformation regardless of your age or experience. Amy views yoga as a mindful practice that enriches mind/body/spirit wellness, encourages supportive community, and offers personal development that can lead to experiencing life in a healthier and more joyful way. Amy’s favorite styles of yoga are gentle hatha, slow vinyasa, yin, and restorative.
